Saturdays 900am-1000am – Snap Fitness, Queen St,  Fremantle

Traditional Hatha yoga focuses on bringing body, mind and breath into alignment.  Allowing you to stretch the muscles deeply whilst the breath guides you to relax into the stretch and become steady and comfortable in the pose.

Classes include breath practices (Pranayama)  complete relaxation of body, mind and spirit (Yoga Nidra).

Chair Yoga for Seniors

  • Wednesday mornings 900-1030am –  RAAFA Bullcreek
  • Thursday mornings 800am-900am – Cottesloe Studio
  • Friday mornings  930-1030am – Shine – Cottesloe

This style of yoga with elements of regular yoga is adapted the ageing body.  Postures are done with the support of a chair either seated or standing.   You will be fully supported and guided by an experienced teacher who understands chronic pain, musculoskeletal problems and trauma related health problems.

Movements are simple and will improve balance, mobility and cognitive ability.

Classes finish with mindful relaxation, so you will feel relaxed and revitalised.

Meditation

Meditation

Meditation is a mindfulness practice, where the aim is to still the mind and take it away from the daily happenings and come to a place of stillness and silence by first relaxing the body systematically and then bringing the focus to the flow of the breath.

It is beneficial in reducing stress, anxiety and can even lower blood pressure. Meditation calms the nervous system and temporarily suspends the thinking process into a state of open enquiry, wonder and complete relaxation.
